Who We Are

Veterans HQ is a registered charity dedicated to helping ex-armed forces personnel, reservists, and their families.

Veterans HQ is now recognised as the single point of contact for all veteran’s needs. Veterans, reservists and their families can gain access to employment support, education, training, housing support and health referrals.

The Veterans HQ team can offer advice and guidance on housing, employment and family support. We have in-house mental health counsellors, a community engagement team, plus caseworkers and admin support, who are all here to serve our armed forces community.

Meet the Board

Colleen Waterhouse

After a very successful career in local government working for Manchester, Lancashire and Liverpool councils, Coleen now works as an environmental consultant.
In her private life, Collen is married to a retired senior Royal Naval officer.
Steph Harper

Served in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a combat medic and completed several tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
She is now a mum of two amazing girls and is the clinical lead for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust Liaison and Diversion Team.
Neil Meadows

Neil served in the King’s Regiment and has served in Northern Ireland. He went on to work with drug and alcohol addiction.
He now works for NHS Mersey Care supporting patients with addiction needs. He is passionate about supporting veterans in the community and is a stalwart of the NHS Mersey Care armed forces group.
Ian Fazakerley

Ian has over 36 years of experience in the social housing sector.
He started his career at Liverpool City Council and now works for One Vision Housing, which is part of the Sovini group.
Jon Muspratt

Served in the British Army and has now continued his career in the third sector as a charity CEO.
As well as his passion for all things football and mountain biking, Jon continues to serve in the Army Reserve and is a Trustee of a men’s mental health charity in Liverpool.
Jan Cox

Served in the Royal Navy/Royal Naval Reserve for 39 years. She now works for the Defence Relationship Management Team as the Regional Employer Engagement Director for Merseyside and the Isle of Man.
Based in Altcar, at the North West Reserve Forces & Cadets Association, her role is to engage with and support our Armed Forces community and businesses across the region.
Craig Horner

Served in both the King’s regiment and the Duke of Lancs. He rose to the rank of WO1 and is passionate in his support of our armed forces community.
He is also a passionate LFC fan, having played in goal for his regiment. He is now pursuing a very successful career in social housing.
